Tillväxtverket, Region Västerbotten and Skellefteå Municipality have granted funds for a feasibility study project in 2024. The preliminary study intends to strengthen the wood industry in Västerbotten by drawing up a development program for the industry. The activities of the preliminary study are to take inventory of development needs against circular conversion, sustainability goals according to TMF by carrying out at least 20, needs inventory analyzes in the Wood Industry (BIT) and compiling the work in a roadmap for the industry through a description of the current situation, challenges and opportunities.
