The wood manufacturing industry in Västerbotten has a great need to strengthen its positions both nationally and internationally. The greatest potential opportunities today are found in the areas of e-commerce and automation of both administration and production.
Luleå University of Technology is now initiating three sub-projects, which largely have their roots in the Challenging Urbanization project, where problem areas have been highlighted and analyzed.
The three projects have the following headings and are put together in an overlapping chain:
